Responsibilities

  1. Work with the Vietnam Senior Management Team to ensure that I Can Read Vietnam delivers all ICR programs to a consistently high standard, thus maximizing student growth and retention.
  2. Source, Recruit, & Train Ideal Profile Teachers to enable the organization to carry out its mission, and vision to be the premium education company.

A. Sourcing

  • Assume responsibility for sourcing ideal teacher candidates to meet forecasted and un-forecasted needs.

  • Develop and actively manage a teacher sourcing pipeline to generate a pool of    potential teacher candidates.

  • Develop and actively manage strategic relationships with Recruitment Agencies and Partners.

B. Recruitment and Selection

  • Interview suitably experienced and qualified candidates.

  • Discuss proposed new teachers with Franchisee, and if necessary, organize for second interviews.

  • Once selected, draft and send both Letter of Offer and Health Declaration Form.

C. Teacher On-boarding and Training

  • Work with candidates to ensure that visa application documents are duly prepared for visa application purposes.

  • Ensure that the new Teachers are prepared for their pre-deployment training and make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements with the Teacher and Franchisee

  • Prepare and deliver the formal pre-deployment Teacher Training Program to all ICR Teachers.

  • Conduct the HR Orientation for all new Teacher, ensuring all teachers full understand and agree to the terms stated in the Employment Agreement and Employee Handbook

  • Conduct post training follow up, formal teaching observation and feedback session in accordance with ICR’s professional development policy and Teacher confirmation process.

D. Pre-deployment Academic Training and Support for Teaching Assistants and Learning Centre Staff

  • Prepare and deliver academic training to ICR Teaching Assistants, Operations Staff and Franchisees as required

  • Conduct post training follow up where required and evaluation in accordance with ICR’s professional development policy,

E. Facilitate On-going Training

In collaboration with the Singapore Headquarters Academic Team, develop and deliver additional teacher training for curriculum updates, holiday and other ad-hoc programs, as when required/requested.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

F. Support Operations and Marketing Team:

  • Provide assistance to ICR canters to organize Relief Teachers during Teacher shortages.

  • Vetting copywriting for promotional materials, brochures and articles where required

  • Part of the team for special events, road shows, exhibitions and seminars for brand promotion

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university (required)
  • TESOL, CELTA or DELTA certification (required)
  • Master’s degree in Education Administration, Human Resources or Business (advantageous)
  • At least 5 years teaching experience in the ESL industry (required)
  • Managerial/recruitment and HR/training experience (required)
  • Ability to develop and manage a teacher network throughout China
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with recruitment partners
  • Strong English written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present/conduct training to large groups with confidence
  • Proactive with good organization and planning skills
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and research for required business information
  • Strong PC skills including the ability to prepare Word, Excel and PowerPoint proposals and spreadsheets
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
